The Reverend Traci Blackmon v. Missouri
Plaintiffs claim that Missouri’s near-total abortion ban and other restrictions violate the state constitution’s 1) prohibition on the establishment of religion or the coercion of any individual to participate in prayer and religious activities (Art. I, § 5), 2) prohibition on compelling any person to support a system of worship or to support a minister or teacher of worship (Art. I, § 6), and 3) prohibition on using public funds to support religion and preferencing a particular faith (Art. I, § 7).
