Commonwealth v. Lavar Browne

Docket number
32 EM 2023
Date

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court reversed conviction relief for a defendant and in doing so rebuked the Philadelphia district attorney’s office for “numerous instances of untrustworthy concessions, ” among other critiques, in post-conviction relief cases. The court ordered as remedial action that the state attorney general be given the opportunity to intervene when the office makes future concessions in such cases.
