Hoffmann v. New York State Independent Redistricting Commission
Held that constitution’s redistricting provisions limit court-drawn maps to lasting only as long as is necessary to cure the relevant legal infirmity. Ordered the independent redistricting commission to reconvene to redraw the state’s congressional districts and replace the court-drawn map used in the prior cycle.
