Pineau v. Attorney General

Docket number
SJC-13927
Date

The Massachusetts high court allowed to advance a ballot measure that, if approved, would end the sale of recreational marijuana in the state, rejecting claims that it violated the single-subject requirement and would amount to a taking for industry participants that receive state support. The court also found the attorney general’s summary of the proposed initiative to be fair.
