After the Missouri Supreme Court required a different preliminary injunction standard, the trial court reissued a preliminary injunction against many abortion restrictions in the state, and the intermediate court affirmed, under Missouri’s 2024 reproductive rights amendment. In June 2026, the trial court issued a permanent injunction. The enjoined laws include a mandatory 72-hour waiting period, informed consent requirements, a requirement a physician be physically present when a patient takes an initial medication abortion does, and licensing requirements for abortion facilities.
