PFLAG v. Office of the Attorney General
Texas Supreme Court will consider whether to enforce information requests issued to PFLAG as part of the state’s investigation of whether doctors are evading the state’s ban on gender-affirming care for minors. One of the issues before the court is whether a lower court erred in finding good cause to strike portions of the civil investigative demand on the grounds they seek information protected by state and federal speech and association rights or that is unreasonably broad in violation of state and federal search and seizure protections.
